      1. An allegorical poem.
      2. A courtly dream vision poem that celebrates the victory of love over the golden shield of reason
    2. The Thrissil and the Rois
      1. A porthalamium celebrating the marriage of James IV and Margaret Tudor
    3. Lament for the Makers
      1. His most well known work
      2. An elegy dedicated to the distinguished writers who preceded him, including Geoffrey Chaucer and John Lydgate.
  3. Satires:
    1. The Satire on Edinburgh
    2. The General Satire
    3. The Epitaph on Donald Owre
    4. The Dance of the Sevin Deidlie Synnis.
