Terminologies Related to Communication

  1. Broadcasting & narrowcasting
  2. Synchronous  communication: the messages can be streamed in real time.
  3. Asynchronous communication: the messages are conveyed not in real time but with delay.
  4. Surveillance

  6. Kinesics: the study of the way in which certain body movements and gestures serve as a form of non-verbal communication.
  7. Proxemics: The term is coined by Edward hall. It is the study of the use of space and how it makes us comfortable.
  8. Halo effect: It deals how we assign personality traits just by considering physical characteristics of people.
