  2. UTs = Puducherry, J&K, Delhi send representatives to RS, when Ladakh, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Deu, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadeep are unrepresented.

    1. Elected by MLAs of States
    2. Seats for RS allotted to states according to population.
    3. Uttar pradesh highest sears: 31,
  4. Representation of the UTs:
    1. indirectly elected by the members of the electoral college.
  5. Nominated Members:
    1. 12 members nominated by the President

Lok Sabha / Lower House/ First Chamber/ Popular House

  1. Maximum member 552 (in 1950, it was 500): Currently the house has 543 seats
  2. Represents people of India
  3. Members elected by common people: Direct Election to the House of People Act, 1965
  4. Nominated members: 2 members by President
