Thomas Delorey (1543-1600)

  1. An Elizabethan Ballad writer and novelist.
  2. While working as a silk weaver in Norwich, he wrote Ballads on Contemporary events.
  3. He dedicated his novels to the famous cloth workers in England.
  4. Works:
    1. His earliest venture appear to have been “A Declaration made by the Archbishop of Cullen Upon the Deeds of his Marriage in 1583
