Numeral

 There are three types of numerals:

Cardinal

Ordinal

Fraction

All natural numbers are cardinal numbers. Cardinal numbers are the generalization of natural numbers as it consists of all the counting numbers starting from one. Cardinal numbers are also called cardinals. The term cardinal numbers or cardinal was coined to represent the size of a set called cardinality(size) of sets. Cardinals numbers refer to quantity. They include zero and it’s synonyms; bought or naught, cipher or cypher, and the terms used in various games – nil, nothing. They also include dozens and scores.
The example of Cardinal numbers are; one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, etc.

Ordinal numeral refers to position or order of the subject in a sentence. The primary ordinals are items such as first, second, third…fifteenth, ect.

The fractions refer to quantities less than one. They include: half, two halves, a quarter, three quarters, and compounds of Cardinal number with an Ordinal, such as two thirds, three fifths, one eighth.
